Federal Single Audits

If your organization receives federal grant funding, either directly or indirectly, you may be required to have a single audit. A single audit is a rigorous audit, with the objective of providing assurance to the federal government as to the management and use of federal funds.

A single audit is an engagement that is designed to determine if you have complied with the terms of your federal grant funding, and if you

have policies and procedures in place and operating effectively to ensure that there are internal controls over that funding.

Our Nonprofit Services team at Melanson specializes in performing single audits in compliance with OMB’s Uniform Guidance. Our membership in the AICPA’s (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) GAQC (Government Audit Quality Center) provides us with the tools needed to stay on the cutting-edge of this complex and rapidly changing area.
