As a child, Frank grew up fishing and hunting with his family. He still enjoys an occasional winter ice fishing trip and summer deep sea fishing excursion, but his real passion remains hunting – turkeys in the spring and deer in the fall. His typical attire outside the office in May and November is head-to-toe camouflage. Frank also enjoy walks on the beach with his wife, Carmen, and participating in and/or leading Bible studies.

A fan of all thing’s sports, Ed’s favorite team is the New England Patriots. Their commitment to hard work, excellence, and working together as a team can be applied to all aspects of life.

When not working with her nonprofit clients, Sheryl is usually spending time with her family, which includes her husband Jim, grown daughters Shannon and Leah, son-in-law Justin, and grandson Jack. Her favorite beaches can be found in Southern Maine, where she likes to take walks to collect shells and sea glass. For rest and relaxation, and escaping the cold New England winters, Sheryl also enjoys traveling to Florida and the Caribbean.

After college, Tanya and her husband moved back to her hometown where they cleared land and built a log cabin with the help of family. They still live in their cabin in the woods with their four kids and two dogs. There, they raise chickens and pigs, tend fruit and veggie gardens, and make their own maple syrup! As a family, they love to hike, travel, and visit Disney World. Tanya and her husband are also avid Red Sox fans and have been to all of the Major League Baseball stadiums.

Outside of the office, Joe has spent a lot of his time volunteering. He is a founding member of the Ellsworth Little League (est. in 2018), serving on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for two years, and has also been a little league manager. Prior to that, he has served as a Board of Director and former Chairman for the James Russell Wiggins Downeast Family YMCA and as a Board of Director and Treasurer for the Nashua Child Care Center. He has spent nine years as a board member at the YMCA, as well as been an active volunteer there. And if that hasn’t been enough, he has also coached baseball, basketball, and soccer. In his spare time, Joe enjoys golfing and bass fishing, as well as spending time with his two teenage sons and his fiancée.

Anthony came to Melanson as part of the merger with Seelye & Schulz PA CPAs, where he worked for 15 years. He lives in Amherst with his wife, two children, and two dogs. When he is not working or spending time with his family, Anthony can be found on the golf course or the shooting range. He also enjoys donating his time as a member of the Souhegan Valley Happy Hour Rotary Club.

Nancy is a passionate New England sports fan (which definitely came from growing up in Rhode Island with a mother who was a loyal Boston sports fan). She is an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan and attended both a 2013 and 2018 World Series game at Fenway Park with her husband. Nancy cares very deeply for her community, having previously served on the Board of Directors for the Greenfield Community College Foundation and the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. Currently, she serves on the board of the Greenfield Cooperative Bank. Nancy is also a dog lover and lives on a mountain in Shelburne, MA with her husband and two rescue dogs.

Prior to joining Melanson in 2000, Alina interned and worked in Boston for four years. She grew up in Belarus until she was 12 and loves to travel. She has since had the opportunity to travel to Belarus again, as well as to Russia, Austria, Italy, and Greece. Some of her most notable travel moments were a tour of the Peterhof Palace in Russia, traveling along the Gulf of Finland, and taking a tour of Cleopatra’s house on the island of Delos, Greece. As a mother of two, Alina spends a majority of her time with her family and particularly enjoys researching new adventures and vacation spots throughout New England.

Lee is a passionate optimist. This core principle has helped her in both her life and career. In business and as she coaches people, she tries to use this belief to see and seize opportunities, move beyond disappointments and challenges, and as a means of encouragement to those that she works with. In her personal life, this passion has led Lee to live in Pittsburgh, PA, Colorado, California, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Hamburg, Germany. She also loves to travel and has been to Moorea, Austria, Italy, Spain, Turks and Caicos, Britain, and Scotland. Lee finds that her passionate optimism is particularly helpful as a lifelong Steelers fan – some recent years she has had to dig deep, but she is convinced that this is their year!

Scott joined the Melanson team right out of college more years ago than he chooses to disclose. He is an avid sports fan of the local professional teams (go Boston!) and enjoys skiing, golfing, boating, and hiking. His favorite hike was at Delta Lake in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. For 15 years, he also volunteered as a women’s lacrosse coach at both the youth and high school levels. Scott and his wife, Kelly, have three adult children.

The biggest sporting event Joe ever attended was Game 4 of the 2004 World Series in St. Louis when the Boston Red Sox finally broke the Curse of the Bambino!

Paul was one of the founders of Seelye & Schulz, PA, CPAs back in 1979. He joined the Melanson team when they merged in July 2019. He has three adult children and four amazing grandchildren. In his spare time, Paul enjoys playing golf, wood working (including turning bowls), fishing with his grand kids, and traveling with his wife.

A native of south shore Massachusetts, Alyssa moved to New Hampshire to attend college where she met her husband. During her time in college, she fell in love with all that New Hampshire has to offer and decided to make it her home. While not at work, Alyssa can be found spending time with her husband and two boys enjoying activities like fishing, hiking, or camping in the White Mountains. To keep life interesting, her boys are continuously bringing home animals to expand their “farm,” that has at one point or another consisted of a dog, guinea pig, cats, hermit crabs, lizards, turtles, frogs, geese, ducks, and chickens.

Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Pat was a long-time New York Giants football fan by the time she and her husband moved to Massachusetts in 1986. It took a number of years (and two losses to the Giants in the Super Bowl) to convert her to the diehard New England Patriots fan she is today, but the transition is total and complete. Her reason? She’ll tell you that while she loves winning (who doesn’t?), it was the Patriots’ attitude and credo that did it. The “Do Your Job” mantra – holding every player accountable – and their focus on being the best team as a whole, won her over for life.

Deborah enjoys life in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire where she and her husband live. They love playing with their grandchildren (and of course their adult children) in the summer on the boat. In her downtime, she likes to read and cook (but not bake, as that requires too many precise measurements). To Deborah, there is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the beach with your toes in the sand, looking out over Lake Winnipesaukee and up to Mount Washington with a good book in your hands.

Scott has spent his career building a large commercial tax client base because it is what he enjoys most: making connections and learning about what a client does, the challenges they may face, and constructing a plan to move them forward – helping if he can or providing access to his network of other professionals. When he is not ‘officially’ working, most likely he is still trying to make connections, sometimes with a club in his hands, golfing (another passion) or riding his Harley with friends. On the off-chance Scott is sitting still, you will probably find his two corgis, Beckham and Emma, at his feet.

Jonathan joined Melanson in 2012 following an unorthodox route of accounting education after earning a Political Science degree. Since day one, he has brought his number one skill, his humor and ability to make people laugh, into every aspect of his career – whether in the office with his coworkers or talking with clients. Jonathan enjoys pop culture trivia and is always willing to go toe-to-toe with others in proving his mental acuity on the most mundane topics. In his spare time, he enjoys watching New England sports especially the Boston Bruins and New England Patriots, golfing (do not ask him about his handicap), and is a budding green-thumb assisting in maintaining the office plants in Greenfield.

There is nothing better than watching her kids enjoy the farm that she grew to appreciate so much over the years. You are also likely to find Danielle taking pictures of every moment in her life, and if she is able to find some time alone, then she is usually scrapbooking those moments.

She was the first person in her family to go to college and graduate. Joining Melanson was her first big-time accounting job, and, as they say, the rest is history. When Christine is not at work, she can be found spending time with her husband and two daughters. When she gets some personal down time, you can find her working on her next craft project or lost in a John Grisham book.

Shortly after joining Melanson in 2012, John began studying for the CPA exam. After passing all four sections, he returned to school to receive his master’s degree. Outside of work you can find John on a golf course or at a local craft brewery with a few friends. He became a father to a beautiful little girl in December 2019. He also loves spending time with his family and playing in his backyard with his dog Zoey.

Prior to joining Melanson in 2001, Erica worked at an accounting firm in New York City where she focused on bookkeeping and tax preparation for various models, NHL players, and musicians. She is a wife and mother of two daughters, who all enjoy spending as much time as possible together outdoors doing things such as hiking, skiing, camping, and bringing their goldendoodle, Bella, wherever they can. Erica loves to cook and truly values the importance of a family meal and the sense of community it creates. Travel is always on her mind and she enjoys the details of planning trips for her family and friends - researching locations, restaurants, and activities along the way.

Prior to joining Melanson, Nicole worked as an Account Manager at local advertising agencies. One of her most notable clients included the NH Liquor & Wine Outlets (which some may find slightly ironic since she is not one for libations). Through her work at the agencies, she was not only lucky enough to gain experience, but she also had the chance to meet and work with some people you may have heard of before, including David Ortiz, Matt Light, Jonny Gomes, Isiah Thomas, and Dan Aykroyd. As a soon-to-be mother of three, Nicole spends a majority of her spare time chasing her two sons around, but when she can squeeze in some “me” time, you can find her working on her next craft project or home DIY, trying to catch a new flick, or researching a new adventure/vacation spot for her family.

During the summer and fall seasons, Pat enjoys spending his time camping. He finds nothing better than cooking over a fire and spending time with family and friends. Oh, and he also enjoys cooking! Prior to accounting, he had spent 12 years in the restaurant world, working in kitchens in an around the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, serving fine dining and catering. Those skills come in particularly handy when camping, as his group tends to eat quite well as Pat serves up smoked brisket, lamb, and he once even did a full turkey dinner on a cold autumn weekend. When winter arrives, Pat enjoys being in a hockey rink, watching his son play or playing himself. He will typically play two nights a week and his favorite event is the New England Pond Hockey Classic, which he has participated in since 2011.

During Jim’s non-busy times, his favorite thing to do is to travel. His goal is to visit all 50 states, and so far, he has visited 38 of them. In addition to traveling, he enjoys trivia and US history. When not pursuing these activities, Jim supports Special Olympics and has participated in the NH Special Olympics Penguin Plunge for many years - which involves jumping into the Atlantic Ocean in the middle of winter!

Growing up, he had always wanted to be a doctor but chose accounting to help business owners and for the historically low unemployment statistics in the field. Before joining the Melanson team, he had started his career at a Big Four accounting firm where he had built and led tax departments in large multinational companies.

Bill counts his father as one of his biggest influences to becoming a CPA. Although his dad was not a CPA, he was an accountant and internal auditor with some larger public companies and he also dabbled in personal tax preparation. In addition to influencing Bill to become a CPA, his dad also influenced his love of music and helped him buy his first drum kit. Although he doesn’t see many concerts today, he has acquired a collection of various t-shirts and other collectibles from the various shows he has attended, except for Cheap Trick…that t-shirt was stolen from the car.

Dorothy has a diverse HR background in several industries including professional services, manufacturing, distribution, and call services. This diversity of industries has fulfilled her curiosity and appreciation of the human aspect. Growing up as an “Army Brat,” she traveled frequently and had the exposure to different cultures and countries, which still holds true today as she and her husband love to travel outside the US frequently. When Dorothy is not traveling, she enjoys spending time with her family and clowder of cats.
